Apexint Laboratory and Test Services provides unique environments and test solutions for the examination of radiation used in space and other sectors, such as the old Products, where ionising radiation could reduce the service life of the Products.
Apexint has been creating and developing tools and systems for the radiation inspection industry. The development of electronic devices and systems in line with our client's specifications for radiation effect testing is another area.
Broad Beam LDR (Low Dose Rate) A radiation vault measuring 16 feet by 12 feet is located in the Broad Beam facility and houses a cobalt-60 gamma beam irradiator. On the irradiator, a steady radiation beam is discharged through a single diverging beam port. Dosage rates of 0.01 to 0.1 rad(Si)/sec can be achieved by varying the distance from the beam port.
An annular cobalt-60 irradiator with exterior protection, the High-Dose Rate (HDR) facility provides samples placed in the source's core with a nearly omnidirectional gamma radiation environment. There is ample of space for irradiating objects inside the source's central cylindrical chamber, which is 6 inches in diameter and 8 inches high. A cylindrical container with interior dimensions of 6.25 inches in height and 5.5 inches in diameter is provided for MIL-STD-883/750 TM 1019 compliant TID testing.
Radiation Testing
The applicability of our facility also includes test support for off-site neutron irradiation testing for displacement damage dose (DDD) under Test Method 1017 and support for heavy ion Single event Effects (SEE) testing.
